FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions about StreamBruh.
What does “use my own bot” mean?
You create a free bot in the Discord Developer Portal and connect it to StreamBruh with its token. Alerts are posted by your bot, with your bot’s name and avatar, not a shared bot used by thousands of servers. You stay in control: you can remove it, rename it, or change its permissions at any time.
What do I need to get started?
A Discord server you own or manage and a Discord bot token. Then add only the credentials for the platforms you use: a Twitch or Kick Client ID and Client Secret. Each one takes a few minutes, and our step-by-step guides walk you through it.
Is my bot token safe?
Yes. Tokens and API keys are encrypted with AES-256-GCM and never shown again after you save them. Our server decrypts them only to send your notifications. The bot never asks for Administrator permission, and you can reset the token in Discord at any time to revoke access.
How much does StreamBruh cost?
Premium is US$6 per month for one Discord server. You can try it free for 7 days without a PayPal account and without automatic charges. If you decide to continue, subscribe with PayPal from your dashboard and cancel anytime.
How fast are the notifications?
StreamBruh checks Twitch and Kick on a regular schedule, so alerts usually arrive within a few minutes, not instantly. Live stream previews refresh about every 15 minutes while the stream is live.
Can I customize the alert message?
Yes. Each notification has its own text, button label, and Discord channel. You can insert variables such as the streamer name, game, and stream link, add your server’s custom emojis, and write everything in your own language.
How many streamers and channels can I follow?
Premium includes up to 30 Twitch streamers and 30 Kick streamers, plus 2 Twitch and 2 Kick game alerts, all on one Discord server.
Can I get alerts for a game instead of a specific streamer?
Yes. Game Tracker posts an alert when someone goes live in a Twitch or Kick category you choose. You can filter by language and minimum viewers so only relevant streams reach your server.
